2) Life as we know it was turned up-side-down. For those of you that don’t know, Josh has taken a fantastic job with a pharmaceutical company in Greensboro. Josh spends over two hours in the car every day… no fun! The job was too good to turn down, especially in this economy. So… overnight I became a single mom. Meaning getting Carter up, ready and to school (the hardest part on both of us), as well as pick up and dinner every day. I honestly thought it would be much harder on me than it has been. Week one went remarkably well, we are adjusting to the change nicely.
3) The big boy bed is still a work in progress. Josh’s new position has slowed it down a bit. We are hoping Carter is in his new room by the 1st week of December!
4) Once Carter’s new room is done we can focus on the nursery. I’m pretty sure Carter’s nursery was so done by this time with him. Poor little girl is already reaping the effects of child number two.
5) The word WHY is probably Carter’s favorite. I’m convinced he says it just to get my reaction. I’m trying my best to avoid the answer ‘because I said so’. Oh how hard that is!
6) Tis’ the season! Since this is the first Christmas that Carter actually ‘gets’, we are making it our mission to really get into the Christmas spirit this year. We will be pulling out the Christmas decorations in hopes to have them up before my Dad & Trish arrive for Thanksgiving. Last year Carter rc’vd The Elf on the Shelf from Nana & Granddaddy. We will be pulling him out a few weeks before Christmas, not too early though, I wouldn’t want the ‘coolness’ of him to wear off.
8) I’d like to make a huge shout out to Nana… she has come to the rescue. Carter came down with a low grade fever on Sunday evening. I took him to the doctor on Monday morning and she thinks he has some sort of virus. Carter can’t go back to school until he is fever free for 24 hours, so he is spending some quality time with Nana while Josh and I work. THANK YOU NANA!!

10) Off to bed I go… It is late.

Too funny--we have the Elf in the Shelf book and elf too....I can't wait to let him see it. We are planning on leaving the box on the porch like a package from UPS and tell him Santa mailed it to him.
It's like we're living parallel lives in different states :)
What are thinking about getting Carter for Christmas?
