When we bought our house in March of 2009 we knew a fence was a must; since they aren't cheap we decided to put it on the wish list. Well, once Kenzie started walking and we had two to keep track of we knew we needed to add it to the must have list. So, in July, we had a fence built. Best.money.ever.spent!

4th of July!

We celebrated our fourth annual Lipscomb Fish Camp on Lake Murray.... it was a BLAST, as usual. We got smart this year and planned a few things out - saving Nana from being in the kitchen 24/7. Going into the event we had a menu planned out and cubbies to collect everyone’s stuff, allowing less clutter on the bar, leaving more room for bartending!

Koozie's were made to assure everyone had a cold beer at all times!

Slip-n-slidin'

We certainly have some serious water babies... both of them! We actually didn't have anything planned this Sunday (amazing, to say the least) so, we decided to break out the slip 'n slide. The kids (and Josh) had a blast!

Josh was throwing the kids down the slide almost as though they were bowling balls. They couldn't get enough!

Carter would block the end so Mackenzie couldn't get through....

Miranda!

Unexpected visit from the Rogerfellas! Unfortunately, we were supposed to see them the weekend I ended up in MA for my grandma's funeral. Luckily, Marie ROCKS and decided to buy Tom Miranda tickets at Koka Booth for his 40th... which happened to be on the weekend the kids would be at the lake w/ Nana & Granddaddy! Could not have happened more perfectly. There visit was too short, as always -- but, we had a BLAST! The Miranda concert was so much fun I had to delete about 75 pictures! Apparently, what happens in Cary, stays in Cary.

Today we played inside, visited with Great-Granny, played in the pool, took a long tubby and ended the day with a movie. Kenzie's attention span is getting a little longer. She watched the movie for about ten minutes tonight.

We have had a great week with our babies! We are tired but very happy old grandparents!

Friday!

Mommy and Daddy,

Today was a special day for Carter and I. Nana fixed us egg and cheese biscuits for breakfast. They were better than the ones you get at McDonalds. Then we went to an early movie at the theater. We saw Kung Fu Panda. Nana kept Kenzie and they took a stroller ride and played while we were away.

You may have noticed from previous pictures that Kenzie changes outfits often. She is on the go constantly and her adventures sometimes get messy but I think it is because Nana enjoys dressing her up. Kenzie is a clothes diva in training.
