Mommy and Daddy,

It was another hot one today so we spent most of the day playing inside. We did get in the pool after naps, but we had to come in because a thunderstorm rolled through. A nice family dinner, movie time and then bed........another fun day at the lake!

Wednesday, June 1 at the Lake

Mommy and Daddy,

It sure was hot today. Carter and I played in the pool in the morning before the temperature got into the 90's. Kenzie played inside with Nana. We took a long boat ride in the afternoon. Carter helped drive the boat so we went really, really fast and that helped cool us off a little. As customary, we ended the day with a movie. Kenzie watched for approx. three minutes.

Okay, so while my kids are enjoying fun in the sun with Nana & Granddaddy - Josh and I are working... bummer (or boofer head as Carter would say). I miss them like crazy - however, as you can see from the pictures they are having a blast. With the recent death of my Mem; it is now even more important to me that my kids spend all the time they can with their Grandparents. We are lucky that Josh's folks are retired and can take them for the week. Thanks Nana & Granddaddy for all you do. We love you lots.

15 month well visit

Mackenzie had her 15 month well visit today. Dr. Simpson says she is doing great! I was a bit concerned; because she really isn't saying much. He wasn't concerned at all. He said that she is developing great and will likely start talking in full sentences; as most second children do. Wish us luck!

Mini Pro's

Carter (along with all of his teammates) received a medal for completing their Mini-Pro session @ DreamSports in Apex.

Operation playset....

.... complete! Well, close enough. I never thought the day would come. We bought the playset from BJ's in December, knowing Josh wouldn't start working on it until the weather warmed up. Well, when he opened the first box in early March he realized they gave us the wrong set. So, we had to search high and low for the set we wanted, as it was last years model and had been discontinued. Luckily, there was one in FL... unfortunately, we had to wait for it to be shipped to our BJ's. Well, it arrived weeks later and Josh got to work. What an undertaking. I have never seen so many nuts and bolts in my life.
