1st swim lesson!!

Josh took Carter to his first swim lesson today! Josh said he had so much fun -- he was even asking for more after class was over!!

Father's Day

On Sunday morning we hung out and relaxed. Carter actually let us lounge until almost 10am. He has been playing fireman in his crib every morning. He says he goes to the station to get on his boots and fire hat before putting out the fires!

Of course not long after he is up he is itching to get into his 'real' fire suit.


What a GREAT idea... too bad I didn't think of it :-) Carter's teacher had all of the kids paint on a rock - she then wrote Dad you Rock on it. What a fantastic idea!! It is now sitting proudly on the window sill in our kitchen next to my Mother's Day flower. So thoughful Ms. Dawn... Thank you!!

Sunday evening Mom joined us for dinner -- she came with Deviled Eggs... Josh's favorite. Here is Carter enjoying an egg. He did not like the filling one bit, so he asked Grandma to please take the devil out of it --- so very funny!

On Saturday afternoon we went to The Szymusiak's for a BBQ -- and to finally meet Marisa & Addison! We had a great visit with good food and great friends!!

Turtle rescue!

On Friday afternoon we found a turtle in the garage. Carter wasn't so sure about it at first....

Once he realized the turtle was harmless he decided it was okay to touch him... barely!!

Before we let him free in the woods we gave him a cucumber... the little guy ate the heck out of it. Probably was starving -- no idea how long he has been in the garage! Of course, I guess there is a possibility the turtle was a she... who knows?!?!

While my Dad was in town we ventured to Golf Smith - it is a HUGE golf store my dad had been wanting to visit in Raleigh. While Dad & I were looking at golf clubs, Carter and Josh ventured around the store.

Over-do visit with Mem & Pep

We had a surprise visit from Dad & Trish... they arrived around noon on Saturday and visited until Sunday afternoon. It was a great time! I'm not sure who had more fun -- Carter or Pep!

Trish spent a good portion of Saturday spending time with her Mom. She joined us Saturday evening for dinner -- who knows what on earth we are talking about in this picture?!?

We spent Sunday relaxing on the couch after Mem & Pep left.

Library trip!

Carter and I took a spur of the moment trip to the library Wednesday after school. We had been a few times before, but Carter was much smaller. This time he was able to understand the concept of inside voices! He was fantastic...
