Christmas Eve 2008

Mem & Pep joined us this year for Christmas Eve. At first Carter wasn't quite sure what to do with all the gifts under the tree; however, it didn't take him long to figure it out.

Since it was nice out we had to go outside and bowl.

Carter wasn't the only one that made it inside of the tent -- Mem had to sneak a peak too!

Here is Pep teaching Carter how to hit a ball off of his new T-ball set.... yup, in the house?!?! Thank goodness winter in NC won't last much longer so we can take this game outside!

At least they were smart enough to aim away from the TV.... I'm sure Josh appreciates that!

Fantasy Football Finals!

We had a crew over on Sunday for our Fantasy Football Finals.... we had a good time, maybe a bit too much!

Brennan & Carter are really playing well together these days. It is a lot of fun watching them together.



Tom & Kathy stopped by for a few minutes on their way home from Virginia.

Jen & Rick had us over last night for yet again a yummy dinner! Carter had a blast playing with Harrison & Parker. Somehow, we didn't get any shots of Parker (I'm not sure how this keeps happening?!?)

Here are the boys 'watching' a movie. Looks like they were doing more playing than watching! Carter was cute - I was putting him in his PJs and as I was getting ready to put on his shirt he said no-no Mommy - no shirt like Harrison!!

Midnight snack?!?! Harrison pointed the mustard out to Carter and said "this is for hot dogs". Such a cutie!

The Goddard's Holiday Party

Yesterday Carter's school had Santa come visit all classes to pass out gifts. The parents were invited to join in on the festivities. We had a great time. I was a bit nervous as to how Carter would react to Santa - but, he did fairly well.

When we arrived Carter was reading with his teacher!

When Santa walked into the room Carter said NO NO and sat right down on Josh's lap. So, Santa passed out toys to all the other kids before Carter. By the time it was Carter's turn he had warmed up enough to walk up with one of his teachers for his present!

He didn't stay long - as you can see he took his present and walked away quickly!

He thought it was pretty cool that the crazy ol' man gave him a cool new fire truck. He was actually brave enough to walk up to him to say Thank you!

After presents were opened all the kids had cookies to decorate. Carter was more interested in eating his!

So, I rc'vd a text from Josh today (he is home with Carter). This is what it said: This will make you feel good.... I asked Carter who was on top of the tree. He said Angel. I said isn't she pretty? He yelled out... Mommy pretty!! My little peanut is growing up!
