Santa @ Bruce's

On Saturday evening we took Carter to see Santa at Bruce's house! Carter was absolutely terrified of the man. Poor little kid.

Every year Bruce goes all out with the decorations.... tastefully.

Here is our 1st attempt to get Carter to sit on Santa's lap - it was NOT happening!

Of course all the other kids there sat on his lap. Here is a cute shot of Austin letting Santa know what he wants for Christmas!

Eva was telling Santa she wants a new doll house! Let's hope he comes through!

Our second attempt - we thought if Grandma tried it may go over a bit better - we were wrong. This was the best we could get.

Fun day!

After nap time on Saturday we headed over to Rob & Natasha's to let the boys play and to watch some football. Of course before I knew it we were doing shots to celebrate Natasha's birthday. Good thing we brought stuff to spend the night - JIC.

The boys (yes, all of them) played in the pillow pile. Carter really loved it when Rob would pretend to fall on him!

It was Rob's turn to sit down and do some reading. The boys loved it.

Christmas Pictures

Here are some pictures Riot took of Carter on Saturday morning. She is trying to raise money for Victory Junction by offering to take free photos for any donation. Since I had bought Carter such a cute Christmas outfit, I thought what the heck, it is for a great cause!

New Christmas outfit

I just couldn't resist this outfit when I saw it at Target. It just screamed Carter - I mean, check out the choo choo train on the sweater. Too perfect! Here are a few cute shots we took before we went to a friends house for a photo shoot.

Sponge Bob Toothbrush!

Ever since Nana & Granddaddy gave Carter the electric toothbrush, that is the only one he'll use. Therefore, it has gotten much use over the last few months. It was time for a new one. So, I got this cool Sponge Bob one. Carter totally loves it. He likes it so much, it is hard for us to get a 'turn' to brush his teeth. He'll say over and over again Tarter's turn... aka, Carter's turn! Of course Josh and I are adamant about getting a good brushing done - so, we just hold his arms down and go to town!

Christmas Tree!

When Carter came home from school on Friday, he came home to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. As much as I'm looking forward to decorating it with him, this was not the year for it. At his age, it would have been a disaster.

You should have seen the look on his face when he walked in the door. We got the camera as quickly as possible - but, it just wasn't quick enough. He walked around the whole tree naming all the ornaments! Santa Clause, Mickey Mouse, Penguins... he was so super excited. This is what the Holiday's are all about.

Perfect example of why this was done without Carter.

He learned quickly that we don't touch the tree.... only look. One trip to time-out fixed it right up!

Movies!

On several occasions we have attempted to watch one of the Baby Einstein DVD's we purchased before Carter was born with no interest. Well, the other night I was trying to get dishes done, so I stuck one in.... now he is addicted. I think he watched the same one three times in a row. I finally just said enough is enough. The last few evenings he looks at me and says 'moie' aka - movie! I've said right from the start, I do not want my kid to be a couch potato - so, we will only be watching movies on special occasions. Instead we read and play. Which I enjoy much more than washing dishes :-) Those can wait until after bed time!
