Hill Ridge Farms

On Saturday afternoon we met Rob, Natasha & Brennan at Hill Ridge Farms for some fall fun.

Brennan & Carter spent a lot of time trying to pick the perfect pumpkin!! Carter also enjoyed some Nachos...

Hangin' out on a very antique chair..... luckily he didn't break it. I'm pretty sure it was clearly marked - for show only. OOPS!!

Cute shot of Carter looking at all the farm animals.

This was the highlight of Carter's visit to the farm -- had the line not been so long, he would have gone down the slide all afternoon.

Brennan was not nearly as thrilled with the slide.

Playin' w. Nana & Granddaddy

Before Nana & Granddaddy left on Saturday morning they took Carter to the park... they had so much fun! I'm pretty sure Carter would have went down this slide 100 times if they would have let him... actually, by the looks of it - he may have!!

New toothbrush!

Nana & Granddaddy are here visiting -- they brought Carter a goodie bag full of fun stuff. Included in the bag was a puzzle, extra yummy snacks and a brand new motorized toothbrush. Carter has been a bit challenging when it comes to teeth brushing lately... that all changed tonight. He totally loved it... thanks Nana & Granddaddy.

Here is Granddaddy being sure Carter doesn't miss a spot.

This is pretty cool - I think I can manage on my own!!

"Priceless"

So, I rc'vd this email from my Father-in-law today - and couldn't resit putting it up on the blog!

Protecting our privacy from our new neighbors:

Step # 1 - Put up a big fence, Cost $379.00

Step # 2 - Plant really big trees, Cost $840.00

Step # 3 - Preventing our new neighbors from looking at nude family members, PRICELESS!!!

Wii Fit - Skiing

We have had a good weekend thus far... Friday evening Josh and I just decompressed after Carter went to bed. I certainly needed it after the week I had. On Saturday we decided to try out Rob's Bratwurst recipe... YUMMY! They turned out really tasty. Note to self... a bit less red chili flakes!! Jolene joined us for dinner, and some Wii Fittin'.... Rick, Jen - we missed you guys!!

Did I mention they were BEER Brats?!? Yeah, a whole six pack....

Jo is probably going to kill me for posting these... but, I couldn't resist.

Love ya... mean it!

I'd also like to add that Jolene kicked Josh's butt in boxing... it was GREAT!!

Last Sunday!

We finally got to meet Scott, Rae & Kylie. Rob & Natasha had us all over for an evening of football watching, beer drinking & Bratwurst eatin'.... totally what I needed before the dreaded week began! Here are some of the fav's -- it was hard to choose, so there are a lot!

If I remember correctly, Brennan was signing to Carter in this picture!

Here is Rob & I with the boys - they were reading to us....

Brennan doing some thing I'm not sure he was supposed to be doing?!?!

Carter totally enjoyed getting into this little box and having Natasha spin him around...

Sharing?!? For those that don't remember -- Brennan is the poor little soul that Carter beat over the head with his pink spoons a few weeks ago. This time together was much more enjoyable for Brennan. They played extremely well together!

Here we are again doing something off limits.... too cute not to get a picture!

The next two shots are of Brennan & Carter trying out baby Kylie's things.... really boys, it wasn't that long ago you fit. How quickly we forget :-)

Of course when he was small enough to fit into this bouncy seat - he hated it!!

And here is the most precious little girl I've laid my eyes on -- Little Kylie. She slept just about the whole time... She is so little, I was scared to even hold her.

** check out our Picasa photos for all the pictures... yes, there are actually more!!

Long time no blog...

Yes, for the addicted blogger I am, a week is indeed a long time! It has been one heck of a week for me, most of you already know the company I work for under went a huge lay-off on Wednesday. I survived; however, a lot of my dear friends were impacted by the action to cut a large number of jobs from the US facility. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!

This being said, Carter had a lot of Daddy time (while I was stuck in the office at all hours)... here are some great shots from their time together.

Really?!?! Did all the work I've done with Carter go completely out the window?!? Clearly they had WAY too much fun with Mom gone! Seriously, Josh is a wonderful Dad - and husband, I'm not sure how I would have gotten through this past week without his support!

No doubt from this picture Carter has had way too much practice with the vacuum. Man, I better be careful about all these "helper" pictures - I may have child services after me!

WOW - what big shoes to fill!

Dad - is dinner ready yet?!?! Mom doesn't ever make me wait this long.....
