Josh's Birthday celebration!
Since Josh's birthday is the day before Mackenzie's and was smack dab in the middle of the week - I had mom come over the weekend before to babysit the kids so we could go out for a nice dinner! Thanks Frank & Leilani for joining us - always a BLAST!
My mom knows Josh well. I'm pretty sure this is when Carter started to wish Josh a Happy BEER Day!
Mackenzie was more interested in the bag.

Jackson & Sydney!
It is still really hard for me to look at this picture without getting tears in my eyes. Most of you that read the blog know these two beautiful young ladies - but, for those of you that do not - Jackie & Nicole are - for lack of a better term - my little sisters. I met Jackie when she was eight years old. Her older sister Melissa has been my best friend since the 7th grade. Nicole and Jackie are BEST friends - and have been for as long as I can remember. Any time the Pickett's took a family vacation - Nicole and I tagged along.
Well, on October 27th, 2010 they BOTH became Mommies to two beautiful babies. Nicole had Sydney on her due date just a few hours after Jackie had Jackson 5 weeks EARLY! Yup, you read correctly - Jackson & Sydney were born just a few hours apart. Made visiting them in the hospital quite easy!
Thank you Nicole and Jackie for giving me such beautiful little angels. I love you!
Jackie holding Sydney and Nicole holding Jackson. What a special bond they will have.
Jackson getting a little cat nap in!
Uncle Brant (Jackie's husband) and Carter goofing off.
Little Miss Sydney getting ready for a diaper change!
All the babies just sprawled out on the floor. We had to keep a close eye on Mackenzie, as I'm pretty sure she wanted to play with Jackson & Sydney. Maybe next time!

Latest trip to Nana & Granddaddy's.
Mommy and Daddy,
Saturday was a good day to be grandparents. We enjoyed our time with Carter and Kenzie. We played with toys, played outside, took a walk, cruised the lake and had movie night.

Kenzie ready for lunch.
Spiderman!
Granddaddy being abused.
Carter playing.

Wolverine.
Playing on the farm.
Playing in the kitchen!
Lions in the cage.
Mommy and Daddy,
Sunday was a beautiful day at the lake, the temperature hit 77. Carter and I spent about six hours on the pontoon. We didn't have any luck with the fish but we had fun driving around the lake looking for ducks, seagulls and turtles. Kenzie and Nana spent "girl time" together. They joined us in the afternoon for a leisurely pontoon ride.
Granddaddy
Mommy and Daddy,
Today was Chuck E Cheese day. There were only four other kids there so it was like the place was reserved for us. Carter ran from game to game and Kenzie was able to walk around at her own pace and explore. You can tell from the attached pictures, we all had a great time and your babies were exhausted by the time we headed home.
See you tomorrow.

Mommy and Daddy,
What a difference a day makes weather wise. The temperature dropped from 77 on Sunday to 43 on Monday. It is like winter again so we decided to play inside today. We still had lots of fun. We played with all of our toys (and I mean ALL of them), Kenzie practiced her walking, we watched several movies and Carter modeled all of his superhero costumes (several times).
I have a question that need a mommy or daddy response. Carter stuck his index finger up his nose to the first joint. He said he was scratching his nose and I said he was picking his nose. So which one was it, a scratch or a pick???? He said you allow him to do that. That may be a battle that granddaddy chooses not to fight.
Tomorrow is Chuck E Cheese day!
