Monday!

Mommy & Daddy,

Monday was a relaxing day at the lake. Mackenzie was in a very good mood, smiled a lot and took a few naps. Carter played in the pool and planted five tomato plants. We should have cherry tomatoes by mid July.

Saturday on the lake!

Mommy and Daddy,

Today was another fun day at the lake. Carter played with his new dinosaur toys and discovered that you can get just as wet playing with the yard sprinklers as you can in the pool. Mackenzie hung out with Nana and Donna all day. She looked cut in every outfit she tried on.

5 years!

5 years ago I married my best friend. Happy Anniversary Josh. Life has thrown us some curve balls - however, we have always managed to come out on top. We truly are soul mates. Josh is my best friend and I look forward to a life time together.

Thanks to Nana & Granddaddy (Aunt Donna & Auntie Ramie, too!) we were able to sneak away for an extended vacation. Josh had a conference in Marco Island, FL that he had to attend for work -- I was lucky enough to tag along. Since the kids were happy at The Lake - we extended our trip and visited Uncle Bob & Rui in St. Pete Beach. The very spot we said our vows! It was perfect.

Our first night in Marco Island was a bit cloudy.... luckily, it was the only yucky day we had. Here is a picture from our room - not to shabby if you ask me!!
Sushi dinner with UB & Rui... the best sushi EVER!

Our wedding!

5 years later still very much in love....

To celebrate our Anniversary - we read our cards to each other on the beach. We had decided months ago that we were not going to exchange gifts this year, as we hope to go back to Sandals for our 6th anniversary. Well, Josh surprised me with a beautiful eternity band. I LOVE IT.

We didn't miss a single sunset - they are all so beautiful.

Please check out our picasa pictures by clicking here... there are a lot. Enjoy!

Stats!

Since Mackenzie was in her brace when she went for her 2 month check-up her doctor wanted me to bring her in after the brace was removed so she could get good stats. So, here they are at almost 11 weeks:

Date: May 11th, 2010
Weight: 13lbs 2.5oz
Height: 23 1/2
Head: 15 1/4 inches

We indeed have a chunk-a-monk on our hands... doc said she is growing nicely and chances are will thin out quickly now that her brace has been removed.

Brace yourself.

Yipppeeee.... we got the okay by Dr. Fitch today to take off Mackenzie's brace. In the big scheme of things - 6 weeks in a brace was nothing. Honestly, it flew by! The x-ray showed great progress. We will go back in 2 months for another x-ray, just to assure things are still progressing nicely.

In hopes that we would get the green light, I spent last night going through all of her clothes.... it felt like Christmas! After her hour long bath today I was determined to put her in something that allowed her to kick her legs as freely as possible.

Here are some before and after pictures... forgive me, I was a bit camera happy.

Her 1st tubby after 6 weeks worth of sponge baths....

I'm scrubbed so hard her skin was red.... she soaked so long her whole body was wrinkly.

Awwwww......

She still looks like a frog princess!

Realizing she can now stretch out her legs!

Not so sure?!?

So nice and clean.

Perfect!
