Visit from the Rogerfella's!

It had been tooooo long... two years we think?!? Anyhow... Tom & Marie made their way to NC for an awesome visit.

Of course when they first arrived Carter had to show them all of his toys! I'm not sure who had more fun playing with the airplane - Carter or Tom!?

Didn't take long for Tom to hit the shine.

Always entertaining us Marie!

Carter being crazy... thought it was a neat shot.

Playin' some corn hole.... Tom was a pro by the end of the visit.

Kid at heart!

The Genna visit!

We were FINALLY able to work out a play date with The Genna's! Noah & Carter had a GREAT time together. You would have thought it had been months since they saw each other last. They are certainly best buds. Now that they will not be going to school together we will be doing play dates much more often!!

Catch me if you can......

Gotcha!!

I had to post this picture -- mainly so you'd focus on Marissa's belly. She went into labor two days after our visit!

Welcome to the world Caleb! Born 8/24/2009 @ 4:14pm. 9lbs. 3oz 21.5 inches long! CONGRATULATIONS!!

Lake bound!

We spent the weekend with Josh's family @ Lake Murray. As always, we had a great time!! Here are a few highlights of our trip... of course you can find all the pictures in my Picasa album.

As we approached the house we stopped on the side of the road to put Carter's big brother T-Shirt on.

It took Ramie pointing out Carter's shirt before Nana & Granddaddy realized what it said! Of course once they read it - they were beside themselves!

Nana & Granddaddy took us all to Monkey Businesses! The slide was by far Carter's favorite.

Granddaddy & Carter practiced their fishing skills in the pool.

And it paid off.... Check out the fish Carter caught with is brand new fishing pole! He wasn't quite sure about the fish. He was very happy once we put it back into the lake!

Carter swam under water with Josh to show off their swim class skills!

Carter even rc'vd a metal.

Carter's all time favorite pool activity -- fly baby!!

10 on Thursday!

A lot of my blogger friends do a Ten on Tuesday. Essentially, it is 10 random thoughts for the week. I thought I'd give it a shot...

1. Carter can clearly say his ABCs, as well as count to 10 in English & Spanish. All of which are a must while brushing his teeth! Hey, it works.
2. Tuesday was dentist appointment #2 – it went very well. He didn’t give them a hard time at all. Even let them treat him with fluoride. Told us to keep up the good work!
3. This week was our 1st week going to school Wednesday, Thursday & Friday only. With swim lessons on Monday’s – we thought this would be a good way to save a little bit of cashola.
4. I’m totally jealous of my Dad & Trish right now, as they are in sunny St. Pete Beach visiting family.
5. OH, Happy 60th Birthday UB…. and, Happy 25 years. How fantastic! We love you both.
6. We will be Lake Murray bound by dinner tonight. Looking forward to some R&R.
7. I really miss my family and would LOVE to have a HUGE family reunion – soon!
8. Yes, Carter still has his na-night (PACI) only in his crib. We will get rid of it eventually.
9. Signed Carter up for The Goddard in Apex this morning. Nervous about moving him; but, really like the facility more than Morrisville. Will be a good change for all. Now gotta talk Noah’s parents into moving him there!
10. Ms. Andrea’s last day is Friday, August 21st. She will be missed. Carter enjoyed having her for the summer. Good idea Ms. Dawn.

Time-out

At The Goddard they are not suppose to put kids in time-out - which, frankly I think is a load of crap. I have shared my feelings with Ms. Dawn on several occasions telling her that if she feels the need and it won't get her in any trouble - by all means, do it. It works at home, it is bound to work at school. Of course only under extreme circumstances will time-out be used... today was one of them!

Ms. Dawn: Your boy is in time-out. I am sorry but he ran up behind Bailey and pulled her hair so hard he had quite a bit in his hand! I really felt bad, but he handled it well.

Now he is saying he is sorry!

Potty training update!

Carter has been doing fantastic with potty training. We are all so proud of our little man! However, we don't dare call him our big boy - he will very quickly tell you "I not big boy et... I ittle". It all started on my birthday actually. I had rc'vd a few text messages from Ms. Dawn telling us that Carter had pee'd on the potty all day... we put him in underwear that evening and he has been in them since. With the exception of the fridge incident he was accident free the entire weekend. So, on Tuesday we loaded him up with extra clothes and underwear and had Ms. Dawn really work with him. He went all of last week with I believe only one accident at school. This weekend I was a bit concerned as we were heading to the beach. A two and a half hour car ride with a potty training toddler did not sound very exciting to me. Low and behold, we made it with no accidents. We stopped three times and every time he was very excited to pee on the potty! We even wore underwear to the beach... and pee'd in the dunes! Yesterday and today have been two more successful days. Carter called me a little while ago and was thrilled to have pooped in the potty!! Way to go CARTER! I think another surprise is in your near future!

Aquatots!

Carter successfully completed Aquatots Level 1 today. They have a week break before Level 2 begins. Carter was pooped on the way home today!

Beach time!

We spent Saturday @ Carolina Beach! Our friends Frank & Leilani joined us. We had an awesome visit.

Mr. Frank built Carter his very own sand truck!!

He enjoyed 'driving' it all over the beach.

Carter spent a good portion of his afternoon playing with the boats!

We shared the news about baby #2. It took Mem & Pep a few minutes before they realized what Carter's shirt said.

I'm pretty sure Pep is giving Carter a few pointers on how to be a big brother!!

Perfect.

Havin' fun!

Ms. Andrea sent me a pic of Carter havin' fun on a cute ride along toy. Of course I had to share!

Swim lessons!

Carter has really enjoyed swim class - so much we signed him for another class! Last week the instructor gave Carter a pair of goggles and he thought they were great. Of course Josh just had to get him a pair of his own before today's class!

Visit w/ The People's

Jason, Melissa, Madison & Janae finally made their way to our new house! It was great spending some time with them!

Carter giving na-night hugs & kisses! Watch out Jason... looks like Janae already has her eye on an older man!

Giving sweet Madison a big ol' kiss!
