Since my birthday is only 3 days after Mom's we always do a combined Birthday Celebration! This year Mom came over and we had yummy Quiche. Then Mom babysat for us. While we were gone - Grandma & Carter made Cupcakes!

Happy Belated Birthday!

Nana & Granddaddy bought Carter a train/car table for his birthday. We finally got it all set up. Carter absolutely loves it!

Carter also rc'vd an extra gift - because that is what grandparents do - right?!?

Carter decided that Mr. Bear was hungry - so, he got a spoon from the kitchen and fed him cereal. Crazy boy!

Never under-estimate my boy....

So… I get this text message from Ms. Dawn today!

Please don’t be mad at me but I have a doctors appointment during my lunch today and as I was on my way out the door Carter started crying. I explained to him where I was going and when I was going to be back. He continued to whimper so I dug in my purse and found a crazy ink pen that is shaped like a cucumber with silly string hair etc. I didn't dream that he would be able to figure out how to open it! Well of course he did and he apparently has colored his sheet his hands and just about everywhere according to Andrea (Dawn’s daughter who is helping out through the summer).

Andrea texted Dawn and said… are you crazy mom you knew Carter was too smart to give him a pen!

Of course I tell her that I’m not upset at all… honestly, I think it is kinda funny. Only Carter – right?!?!

So, she sends me this text –
I am glad my stupidness can brighten up your day – instead of ruin it. Wait until you see the pictures – he even has it on his foot! That tells you where his shoes was doesn’t it.

Marigold

For Mother's Day this year Carter painted me a flower pot and planted a Marigold seed in it. Of course his teacher wasn't sure if the seed would actually flower due to the fact that 2 year olds planted them. A few days after watering it started to grow... and grow... those that know me well know that I do not have a green thumb. I was SHOCKED to see this beautiful flower when we returned from our long weekend away!

Fun with Dad!

Monday is swim class... so Josh and Carter get to spend the day together!

It was raining a bit this morning - so, Carter wanted to get in his tent to keep himself dry. Too silly....

Carter had a GREAT swim lesson today. Here he is bundled up for his jeep ride home!

They stopped for Cookout..... apparently, Carter loves hush puppies!
