On Saturday morning they took the POD to the new house!! There goes a lot of our stuff!

We partied like rock stars on Saturday evening with a bunch of friends. It is very rare for all of us with kids to get out together! Thanks Mom for babysitting.

When Josh was growing up his Granny would always make him a Banana Cream Pie for his Birthday. Since Granny isn't local, my Mom has taken over the tradition!

As a parent you never want to hear that. Poor Josh - see what he walked into Friday morning! Apparently there were diapers everywhere! I wondered how long it would take before we had to move the diaper holder off of Carter's bed?!?

Josh took Carter to the Raleigh Car Show on Sunday - I got to stay home and relax!

Valentine's Day - 2009

Saturday morning we gave Carter a little Valentine's gift - a cool new coloring book. Carter really enjoyed playing with Brennan's the last time we were visiting - so, I thought this would be the perfect little gift.


Grandma came over so Josh and I could spend a few hours sofa shopping - how romantic! Of course she could not come empty handed.... she had a bag full of goodies for her little man. My fav were the new monkey slippers (pictures to come later).

Of course Carter was more interested in the new bubble maker..... I think in 5 seconds flat he had Grandma outside!


Carter's very 1st lollipop - in the shape of heart. How sweet. He wasn't too sure what to do with it at first - as you can see it didn't take him long to figure it out. Thanks Grandma!


After Carter went to bed we ordered take-out Mexican and played Marine Monopoly with Mary-Charles and Ryan. Here is a shot of Ryan passing gas - out the door thank goodness. Though, if I remember correctly it didn't much matter - it was rank.

Carter's 1st trip to the Dentist

Every person you talk to tells you something different about when you should first take your child to the dentist. Since Carter has all of his two year old molars, I decided it was time. He did exceptionally well. The Dentist said his teeth and gums look great - and for us to keep up the good work! Unfortunately, I was not able to go - so, I had Josh take some pictures! You know I couldn't miss out on a cool blog post.

Josh said this was the highlight of the event - dinosaurs in the waiting area!

For the majority of the visit Carter sat on Josh's lap - but, we just had to have a picture of him in the chair - so, the Dentist posed with him.

Goodnight Moon!

Mom tells me this was my favorite book growing up. Wrapped under the tree Christmas 2006 was a copy for her 1st grandson-to-be. I read it to Carter a few times while he was really little, but it didn't get much interest. So, we put it up on the book shelf in his room. A few weeks ago he saw it, and we've been reading it ever since. I think it is safe to say it his new favorite!

Carter espacially likes it when Josh reads it to him... go figure!

Super Bowl XLIII - 2009

For the 1st time since I've known Josh we did not have a Super Bowl Party at 600 Canyon Lake Circle. We decided not to have a party this year, since we were in the process of getting our house market friendly. Luckily for us, The Sioss' were having one... so, off we went. We had a great time, as usual.

Here is a cute shot of Brennan reading to Kylie. She is getting so big.

Carter really enjoyed playing with Kylie. He was showing her how to work all the lights on her bouncer.
