Feeding the ducks -- in the rain.
Carter & Granddaddy fed the ducks in the rain. Granddaddy saves old bread and even pancakes, so when Carter visits they have plenty for the ducks. Apparently, Carter likes to throw the whole entire pancake in the water -- lucky ducks!
Look at all the ducks.... they don't waste much time. As soon as they see Carter they flock!
Carter enjoyed playing with his construction site... we all know, the kid loves big trucks!!
Nana & Granddaddy -- thanks a bunch for having us (and our friends) this weekend.
We all had a great time!

Snow day!!
Woohoo... it is SNOWING in North Carolina. We woke up this morning to about two inches and it has been snowing since. Right now we probably have about 5 inches on our deck. When we mentioned that snow was coming to Carter a few days ago he was none to thrilled... that all changed the second he saw it this morning. We played in it for as long as my little piggies could stand it. Here are a few cute shots...... be sure to check the Picasa album for all of the snow pictures!

Even Kirby had a blast in the snow!

Guess who is HOME....
RYAN!!! Yeah, we were all very excited to see Ryan this evening, especially Mary-Charles! We are all very grateful that he made it home from Cuba safe and sound. It didn't take Carter much time at all to get acclimated. He had to show Ryan every new toy Santa brought him, and even had him reading a big truck book. He was none to pleased when Ryan had to go -- but, Ryan was nice enough to promise Carter he'd be back tomorrow morning to go fishing. WELCOME HOME RYAN. WE MISSED YOU!

Slacker!
We had a pretty busy weekend.... unfortunately, I've been a bit of a slacker when it comes to bringing my camera along.
On Friday evening we joined Jolene and her new friend Wes at Saffron for dinner -- and when I say we - I mean all three of us... For those of you that aren't from the area, Saffron is a very nice Indian Restaurant. One that most would never consider kid friendly. We thought, what the heck, worse case - we leave. Josh and I were pleasantly surprised - Carter did wonderfully. We had a nice meal with no melt-downs (even past bedtime).
Saturday afternoon we headed to The Sioss' to let the boys play. The weather was on our side, so we were able to enjoy the outdoors for a few hours - it was fantastic. Carter absolutely loved playing on Brennan's little slide. Natasha to the rescue again.... click here for a link to her weekend recap blog post.
We joined Grandma at the mall on Sunday afternoon. Carter is in desperate need of some new shoes. After searching the whole mall for stores that sell 1/2 sizes we had to revert back to the ol' standby - Stride Rite. They definitely have the best shoes - but, their prices show for it. I was trying my best not to spend over $50 bucks for a pair of shoes he's only going to grow out of in 2 months. But... none were to be found. So, Carter will be getting a new pair of over priced shoes in the mail on Wednesday since the store we were at didn't have his size in the pair I wanted. After the mall excursion, we went for Pizza with Grandma. YUM!

Marbles Museum round two
On Friday afternoon we joined The Sioss' at Marbles. Carter and Brennan had a great time. Unfortunately, we forgot our camera at home. Luckily for all my dedicated blog readers Natasha had hers! Click here for all the Marble pics, as well as some from the sleepover at our house Saturday evening! Thanks for the pics Natasha!
Tortilla anyone?!?
Rob, Natasha & Brennan came over last night to watch some football, as well as to let the boys play! As always, we all had a good time....
Carter & Brennan had a tortilla roll up for snack -- Brennan looked at me like I had two heads when I gave it to him, I think for the most part he enjoyed it.
Carter being Silly. Quite the norm these days!
Brennan taken a ride on the train.
Natasha got the boys matching Mickey Mouse PJs.... if they were silk they would totally be Hugh Hefner look-a-likes. Thanks Natasha - we love them!
Even Mr. Max made it this trip. He was very content sleeping on the couch - far away from the boys... and Kirby!
