Mo cookeee peas!

AKA... more cookies please!! Carter is a real chatter bug -- even his teachers at school say he talks more than any other kid in the class. Josh and I have started a list of all the words he can say (I'll post soon). For now, here are a few cute shots of Carter eating some cookies on the steps.

He looks so grown -- doesn't he!

Grandma!

We are lucky enough to have my mom close by -- not only does she insist on visiting once a week -- she allows Josh and I some couple time! As much as she is here, you'd think I'd have tons of pictures of her -- nope! This is actually one of the only ones! So... you know I had to blog it :-) Carter loves his book time! Here they are together, with his new Lobster! Grandma brought that all the way back from Maine for Carter! Thanks Mom.

The sun & the moon!

We've had some pretty yucky storms here lately -- between storms we've been able to get a few good shots of some nice sunsets, and a beautiful moon shot. Thought I'd share -- Enjoy!!

Little big helper...

Josh was out sweeping up the mess the pups made out of tree branches when Carter decided he wanted to help! Of course we weren't fortunate enough for him to clean our area -- he had to do the neighbors.

It didn't take Carter long to realize sweeping isn't really that much fun!

He'd rather push along his wagon -- any day of the week!

Then... if you can believe it, the following day he decided he wanted to help Mommy vacuum. He really enjoyed it. I think it took him 30 minutes to get one spot :-) For those of you that haven't seen his shirt; it says "I still live with my parents". I suppose he has earned his keep this week!

Dinner @ The French's

Rick & Jen were kind enough to invite us over for dinner -- we had such a good time. The food was yummy, and the kids really played well together. Believe it or not, in the 250 pictures that were taken (thanks Jo) not a single one of Parker. So, we'll have to be sure to get a bunch next time! Yes, there will be a next time, sooner than later.

Here is a cute one of Harrison showing Carter how to ride a bike -- what a big boy, even put his helmet on without being asked!

How cute.... Jen said Harrison wouldn't have anything to do with his little brother Parker if he tried to do this -- he was all about it with Carter though!

Carter & Harrison hangin' out on the couch before bed time!

Friendships were made for sure!

Jo & Alyssa -- thanks for introducing us to Jen & Rick. Good times!

Carter walking

I was looking through some files and found a clip Josh had taken with his phone of Carter walking (with the help of his truck) in early January. Gosh, seems like yesterday! They really do grow up quickly. There are days I'm afraid to blink!

ELMO...

Or per Carter's vocabulary -- MELMO!

This was too cute not to post - if you ask me, it looks like Carter & Elmo are having a heart to heart.

ICE ICE Baby!

The morning after Ryan's party Carter decided he wanted to play in the cooler! He had so much fun, there for a moment we thought he'd actually crawl into the cooler.

We'll Miss you Ryan!

Our good friend Ryan is being deployed to Cuba in early August. On Saturday evening we had a going away party for him. It was a lot of fun -- we sure are going to miss him. Wishing you all the best Ryan...

The after party!

Once we tucked Carter into bed all the adults hung out and chatted... fun times! Of course those that know me -- know I didn't make it long!

Nana & Granddaddy.... laughing at some silly story I'm sure!

Ramie & Mattie -- that is NOT coffee Ramie is sipping on!

Way to go Mattie - DINNER?!?

Donna chased Lockland around the pool until one went in... guess which one?!?

Mattie caught a snapping turtle -- and a stick -- and who knows what else. Not a single fish big enough for dinner though!

Here is Rocky blowing up Locklands bed :-0

Fireworks!

On our way to see the fireworks! We thought Carter would take a nap, since it was already past his bed time -- no such luck. He was too busy!!

Lockland -- being Lockland! He really seemed to enjoy himself.

Beautiful Sunset!

We weren't quite sure how Carter would do during the fireworks -- it turns out he loved them! On our boat ride home he kept saying more momma, more! He was too cute, he could hardly keep his eyes open. About 5 minutes before we got back to the house he finally laid his head on my shoulder and was out like a light. He didn't even budge when we put him down in his bed. Poor little guy!

The fireworks off the lake were wonderful... the camera does them no justice. We are still figuring out how to use the stinkin' thing!

More PICS!

Lil' big man... chillin' on his chair with the infamous fish!

Just hangin' out with Granddaddy -- Carter's favorite thing to do while we are in SC.

Rocky, Donna & Granddaddy -- watchin' the storm, deciding if we'll be able to venture out to see the fire works!

Tyson, Kelsey & Tracy -- on our way to see some FIREWORKS! We were lucky, the storm went over us quickly!

Relaxin' on Lake Murray!

To celebrate the 4th of July Holiday this year we headed to South Carolina -- we were lucky enough to spend a lot of time relaxing on the lake. The weather was perfect - a bit over casted, so Carter was able to spend a lot of time outdoors.

Here is a cute shot of Granddaddy reading his new piglet book before nap time.

Josh & Matt - ready for some fun in the sun! After lots of crazy 8's on the lake, we were successful in knocking Mattie off the tube!

It is official -- Carter is our new Captain.

Nana & Carter -- he is waving at Auntie Ramie and I as we scoot along on the tube!

It is clear from this shot -- Carter wore way more of his mashed potatoes then he actually ate!
